Little Tosson
Little Tosson is a farming hamlet in Northumberland, located about 4½ miles west of Rothbury. Great Tosson is located 2 miles to the south east. Little Tosson is the location of a deserted medieval village. The farm buildings seen here today date from the 19th century. Historically, Little Tosson was a township in the ancient parish of Rothbury. It now forms part of Whitton and Tosson Civil Parish. There is an old pillbox to the north of Little Tosson which was part of the 'Coquet Stop Line' of defences from the Second World War.
