Lanchester EP Primary School


Lanchester Endowed Parochial Primary School is located on Front Street in Lanchester. It is a voluntary controlled school has about 460 pupils aged 3 to 11. The school's governing body (at June 2024) has 15 members, of whom 3 are Foundation Members from the Church of England. The school was formed on the 1st September, 1998, by the amalgamation of Lanchester Endowed Parochial Junior School, Lanchester Infant School, and Lanchester Nursery School. An earlier Endowed Parochial School in Lancester was noted by 1875, this was located on the corner of Newbiggin Lane and Front Street. This old school building became Lanchester Community Centre in 1963, when the school moved to it's current location on the opposite side of Front Street.
