Kirkland House, Port Carlisle

Kirkland House is a former farm located by the Solway Firth, about ¼mile south-east of Port Carlisle (it appears derelict based on Google Street Map images taken in August 2025). Hadrian's Wall ran close to Kirkland House and the burried remains of Turret 78a of the Wall lies in the hedge line, 20 metres northwest of Kirkland House. Today, Hadrian's Wall Path and Hadrian's Wall Cycleway (route 72) run past Kirkland House
