Kiki's Kabin (former church)

Kiki's Kabin is located on Albion Road, North Shields. This children's play centre is a former non-conformist church. The Church, Sunday School and minister's house was built 1889-1891 by F.R.N. Haswell for the Wesleyan Methodists. It was built at the expense of J. Robinson, in memory of their daughter Elizabeth. The church was restored in 1981 for North Tyneside Memorial Church. After the church closed the Sunday School building was used as a social centre for some time. Today, the church is Kiki's Kabin, a soft play area and cafe. The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
