Kelloe Primary School

Kelloe Primary School is located on Front Street in Kelloe, County Durham. It is a community school with about 120 pupils aged 3 to 11.[1] Pupils from Year 6 contributed ideas and worked with sculptor Graham Hopper who designed the metal sculptures at both entrances to the village. The sculptures reflect the mining history of Kelloe, St Helen’s church, the school and surrounding countryside around the village; and the red poppy on the sculptures is remember the men of Kelloe who lost their lives in war.[2]
