Houghton Bank
Houghton Bank is a village in County Durham. It is located in the A68 road, about 5 miles north-west of Darlington and 4 miles south-east of West Auckland. The village of Houghton-le-Side is nearly - about a quarter of a mile to the south. The area around Houghton Bank is mainly enclosed farmland situated on high land - on a sandstone ridge (the Pennine Lower Coal Measures and Stainmore Formation), which extends east to Heighington and west to Bolam.[1]
Houghton Bank is a village in the borough of Darlington and the ceremonial county of County Durham, England. It is situated a few miles west of Newton Aycliffe, on the A68 between Darlington and Bishop Auckland.
