High Oxen Fell

High Oxen Fell is a farm located about 3 miles north-east of Coniston (town) and 1½ miles south-west of Skelwith Bridge. The stone rubble farmhouse is dated 1673 in it's bread cupboard but is possibly 18th century.[1] It is the property of the National Trust, gifted to the Trust by Beatrix Potter. The farmhouse is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
