Headstone to Peter Lee, Wheatley Hill Cemetery


Peter Lee (1864 - 1935) was a renowned miners' leader and local politician. He is burried in Wheatley Hill Cemetery, having worked at Wheatley Hill Colliery for many years. The headstone for Peter and his wife, Alice Lee is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England, based on the historical and sociological significance of Peter Lee.
