The Town Hall in the Market Place in Guisborough, built in 1821, underwent a major renovation scheme beginning in 2020. The renovated building reopened as Guisborough Town Hall Gateway on the 15th April 2022. The ground floor hosts a Heritage and Information Centre and Brotton company Shorty’s Gins shop and distillery. The upper floor provides tourist/visitor accommodation. It also has facilities for cyclists, including bicycle storage.
Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools
and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria.
