Frankham, Northumberland

Frankham is a hamlet and farm, located a short distance north of the village of Fourstones in Northumberland. It was the site of a medieval village.[1] The farmhouse here dates from the early 19th century and is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England.[2] North of the hamlet is Frakham Woods, in which is the site of the former Prudhamstone Quarry. In the past a tramway ran through Frankham, to transport stone from the quarry to Fourstones. There is an old lime kiln west of the hamlet. Frankham is part of Warden Civil Parish.
