Cunsey Mill
Cunsey Mill, is located by Cunsey Beck, just west of Windermere (lake). The water-driven saw mill was built in 1890, and replaced an older bobbin mill here, which burned down in 1888. Cunsey Mill is also believed to be a former site of rural iron making, were there was a 17th century bloomery forge.[1] The coppice barn here is said to pre-date the mill.[2] The adjacent millers house (Mill Cottage) is contemporary to the mill. Cunsey Mill is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
