St. Mark's Church on Shields Road in Newcastle was built 1905 - 1906. The church was designed by Hicks and Charlewood and paid for by W.D. Cruddas of Haughton Castle. It was consecrated on the 10th of March 1906.[1] When the church became redundant it was converted for use as the Newcastle Climbing Centre. It is a Grade II Listed building.
