Cambeckhill
Cambeckhill Farm is located about 2 miles north-west of Brampton, in Cumbria. It is situated to the west of Cam Beck (river) and is on the course of Hadrian's Wall. The red sandstone farmhouse here dates from the 17th and mid-18th century. The rear of the house is partly built with stone from the Roman Wall. The farmhouse and adjoining barn are Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. Hadrian's Wall Path walking route intersects the farm. There are no remains of the Roman wall visible above ground here. However, the course of the burried remains of the wall is indicated by a broad swelling in the field to the south west of the farm and as occasional rises in hedgelines which cross its course. Camboglanna Roman Fort (Castleheads) is to the east of the farm, on the other side of Cam Beck.
