Boundary Post, B6385, by Main Line Industrial Estate


There is an old stone boundary post, located a short distance north of the Main Line Industrial Estate. It is inscribed "M H", marking the boundary of Milnthorpe and Heversham parishes. Milnthorpe was a township in the ancient parish of Heversham, until 1866, when Milnthorpe became a civil parish. The boundry post is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.

- Boundary stone. Probably mid C19. Limestone. Upright slab with round head. Hammer dressed face with tooled margins and dressed central panel with HM incised in sans-serif lettering....
