Black Cock Inn, Broughton-in-Furness

The Black Cock Inn is a public house on Princes Street in Broughton-in-Furness. The building dates from the 17th century, with later alterations.[1] It is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England. The pub closed in early 2023 after its parent company, the Lakeland Inns Group, went into liquidation. When no other buyers came forward, local employer, Coordination Group Publications (CGP), purchased the property.[2] CGP previously saved the Prince of Wales in nearby Foxfield. The pub is being refurbished with the aim to re-open it as a traditional real-ale pub under a tennant landlord.
