Birkerthwaite

Birkerthwaite is a hamlet in Eskdale. Birkerthwaite Farmhouse is said to date back to 1627, constructed using beams from shipwrecks along the nearby coast. The hamlet also includes Birkerthwaite Cottage, and a stable and barn here have also been converted to holiday acommodation.
