Ann Tyson's Cottage, Hawkshead
Ann Tyson's Cottage is located on Wordworth Lane in Hawkshead. The famous poet, William Wordsworth, lodged here in Ann Tyson's house, while attending Hawkshead Grammar School. The 1st bay wing was used as chapel until 1862. Ann Tyson's Cottage dates from the 17th century and is a Grade II* listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
