War Memorial


The war memorial is located in Low Main Place in Cramlington. The memorial was originally unvelied on the 17th September, 1922 by Lieutenant Colonel Robert Scott of Newton House, Lesbury, and dedicated by The Bishop of Newcastle. It commemorates 152 local servicemen who lost their lives in the First World War. Later, it was further dedicated to 55 local people killed in the Second World War and another in The Troubles in Northern Ireland (1969-1998). The memorial is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
