War Memorial, Blaydon
The War Memorial is located outside the cemetry on Shibdon Road in Blaydon. The memorial was unveiled on the 7th of April 1923, dedicated to 201 local men lost in the First World War.[1] It was unveiled by Miss Cowen and dedicated by the Rev. E.V. Simpkinson, Rector of Stella St.Cuthbert’s. The memorial was later also dedicated to those lost in the Second World War. The memorial is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
