Staithes Conservation Area
The Cowbar area, on the northern bank of Staithes Beck falls within the Redcar and Cleveland Council Area, whilst the rest of the village, on the south side of the Beck are in the North Yorkshire Council Area. The conservation area itself is managed by the North York Moors National Park Authority.
