Simonburn

Simonburn is a village in Northumberland, situated by the Crook Burn, and located about 7 miles north-west of Hexham. By the Village Green, along Castle Lane, is St Mungo's Church, which dates from the 13th century, and the parish War Memorial. To the west of the village, by Castle Dene, are the remains of Simonside Castle, a 13th century tower house. The village and surrounding area form Simonburn Civil Parish.
