The Royalty Theatre, Sunderland, SR2 7PP. "[The] inaugural General Meeting of Sunderland Drama Club held on 2nd October 1925 at Meng’s Restaurant, Fawcett St., Sunderland. All early plays were performed in the Victoria Hall. [In] 1930/31: Premises purchased in Tavistock Place, Sunderland, for £1,178.3s.0d, which was converted into the 'Little Theatre'”.
