Church of St Mary, Stamfordham
-
Description
"There is thought to be some Saxon stonework at west end of nave and a blocked Saxon, early Romanesque arch, in the west wall of tower. Much of the church dates from the C13th and extensively restored in 1847 by Benjamin Ferrey. http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1370769" Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2012. -
