Cockermouth Castle and River Derwent

  • Description

"A view of Cockermouth Castle from the Memorial Gardens footpath. The recent floods in December 2015 left the bank on which the castle stands severely eroded. Since then rock reinforcements have been put in place to stop the castle from crumbling into the River Derwent." Photo by Richard Thomas, 2016.
