Interior of St Mary's Church, Wreay

  • Description

"Showing the very remarkable semi-circular apse at the east end. The church was designed by the early 19th century aesthete, Sarah Losh, in a style which predates but anticipates something of the Arts and Crafts movement, and was a deliberate move away from the all-pervading neo-Gothic style of the time."
