  • Description

"The Moot Hall, in Market Place, Keswick once acted as the town hall but is now the local tourist information centre. The present Moot Hall is dated 1813, but there was a building on the site from the late 1500s. A moot hall is a meeting or assembly building, where decisions are taken on local issues."
