Brampton, Market Place
-
Description
"A small market is held here every Wednesday, and a farmers' market on the last Saturday in the month. A market charter was first granted to the town in 1252 by Henry III. The octagonal building is the Moot Hall, built in 1817, which today houses the Tourist Information Centre." Photo by Rose and Trev Clough, 2008. -
