Man winding engine - Haig Colliery

  • Description

"This is a Bever and Dorling (of Bradford) winding engine. The winding gear for the man riding shaft was demolished in the 1980s when the pit closed. The museum retains both winding engines although only this one is open for public viewing." Photo by Ashley Dace, 2015.
