    Barrow Lifeboat Station - original photo copyright RLNI, displayed in the visitors area of the station. The current lifeboat station was opened on the 24th July 2001, by HRH the Duke of Kent. There have been a series of lifeboat stations on Roa Island, dating back to the first boathouse of 1864, called "Piel (Barrow)".
