Musket holes in the chancel wall of St Cuthbert's church
-
Description
"The church was used as a fortification by the Roundheads during the English Civil War. These markings in the chancel wall are said to be the result of musket shot. It is not the only church to have suffered in this way, see [[3024670]] for example." Photo by Stephen Craven, 2013. -
