BAC Jet Provost T.4 ‘XP627’

    c/n PAC/W/16899. Built 1962. Stored at the back of the workshop of the North East Land, Sea & Air Museums (NELSAM), Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, UK. 11th September 2017. The following history for ‘XP627’ is from the very informative NELSAM website:- “XP627 was one in a batch of a 100 BAC Jet Provost T.4s delivered between October 1961 and December 1962 under Contract KC/E/041 with c/n PAC/W/16899. It flew with both 1FTS and then 3FTS before being struck off charge on 1.10.71. After being placed in storage at Shawbury it moved to London Colney, before being acquired by one of the members of the museum. XP627 has the wings of T.3 XN584.”
