    "Baptist Chapel. Dated 1872 over door. Rock-faced coursed squared sandstone, in thinner courses towards top, with ashlar dressings; Welsh slate roof with rendered and stone chimneys. One storey, 5-bays, the left lower....BRITISH WORKMAN inscription refers to provision of reading room for the workmen of the Eggleston Street Mill. There is thought to be a strong link with the journal British Workman, published 1855-1921, which advocated self-help and education....."
