December 13th, 2016: "The sound of angelic, young voices filled the air at South Tyneside District Hospital when pupils from Ridgeway Primary Academy, South Shields, sang carols and Christmas songs. Almost 30 eight and nine-year-olds delighted patients, visitors and staff with their festive renditions. Class teacher Rachel Grewcock said: 'We wanted to spread some festive cheer and what better place to do that than our own District Hospital.' "
