    "Lodge, gatepiers, screen walls and railings. Early C19 and early C20. Ashlar and iron. Lakeland slate roof. Octagonal rusticated gatepiers, with widely-projecting cornices and ball finials, flanked by short stretches of low walling with plain railings; beyond these are serpentine walls c. 6 ft. high with rounded coping, and pilasters. Similar but lower walls continue along the road for c. 40 yards in each direction and end in square corniced piers...."
