Hadrian's Wall - Housesteads Fort Walkthrough - Medieval Engineers

  • Description

My latest build takes you up onto Hadrian's Wall itself. Housesteads Fort is one of the Wall forts, and one of the most famous Roman forts in the world. Its dramatic setting at the top of a long ridge makes it an imposing sight, even today. I wanted to re-create what it would have looked like in the 3rd Century, based on archaeology done in 1898, the 1930s, and the 1970s-80s. A Roman fort wasn't just a fort. It was the nucleus of a living landscape. And it's been a lot of fun putting this fort & its landscape back together. I hope you enjoy! Please visit my "Housesteads Roman Fort" reconstruction home page, hosted by Steam, at: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=642911759. If you have the game Medieval Engineers ($20 on Steam), you can download my fort for free and explore it all yourself! Thanks to Keen Software House for making this fab software, and to Steam for hosting the game & forums.
