R.A.F. Middleton St. George (Goosepool)

  • Description

"The control tower, snapped on a summer evening in 1960. It would have been a day or so before the end of the photographer's National Service. As an amendment (July 2012), "Goosepool" the wartime name of the place has been added to the title as it may assist those researching the role of the place in WWII; R.A.F. Bomber Command etc." Photo by Geoff Royle, 1960.
