Stories Behind Chance to Shine - Teesdale Girls' Cricket Club

  • Description

Girls from Teesdale School didn't have an opportunity to play cricket before Chance to Shine and Durham Cricket Board set up a girls-only cricket club. The club has been an immediate hit with the girls who turned up in droves on the first night and continue to come back each work. Chance to Shine received National Lottery funding from Sport England to set up 'satellite' cricket clubs. Donations to the charity will be matched this summer by Chance to Shine Patron Adrian Beecroft. Donate at www.chancetoshine.org/donate
