Big day for Monkseaton's multi-million pound school

    News Guardian, 9th November, 2009. "STUDENTS who have helped shape a futuristic £20m high school on North Tyneside have seen their dreams become reality. Monkseaton High School was officially opened on Friday in a celebration led by one of the country's leading design thinkers. The new building combines innovation, design, sustainability and cost-effectiveness to create an impressive learning environment for its 900 students. Sir John Sorrell marked the opening, along with his wife Frances, and was joined by current and former students involved in the design process....."

Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria. Co-Curate is a trans-disciplinary project that will open up 'official' museum and 'un-officia'l co-created community-based collections and archives through innovative collaborative approaches using social media and open archives/data.
