  • Description

"White painted properties are owned by the Raby estate. The story is that one of the Raby family got lost, but couldn't ask for directions because they couldn't tell whether or not the locals were their tenants. From that point on, all Raby tenanted property has been painted white." Photo by Christine Johnstone, 2012.
