Former Hawthorn, Leslie dry dock, Hebburn

  • Description

"The ship is HMS Cavalier, a WWII vintage C class destroyer. She has had a peripatetic existence and is now at Chatham. A friend was project engineer on her transfer from Hebburn to Chatham and due to his kindness we spent most of a day on board her with torch and camera." Photo by Chris Allen, 1999.
