"Parish church. 1904 by Hicks and Charlewood of Newcastle. Uneven courses of squared stone with ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roof. Cruciform with aisles. North-east tower with turret instead of spire. Norman transitional-early English style. Large round east window above two levels of round-arched lights set in arcading. Spacious interior with high arches and octagonal nave piers...." -
