    "The Hancock Museum was closed between 23 April 2006 and 23 May 2009 for refurbishment and new build costing £26 million. As The Great North Museum, it now includes not only the Hancock Museum collections, but also those of the University's Museum of Antiquities and the Shefton Museum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hancock_Museum The photo shows the rear yard of Farrells' new gallery building [[1759770]] which adjoins the old Hancock building to the left [[1759630]] On the right, is the Devonshire Building of Newcastle University [[1760306]].
