    "Entrance screen and flanking walls c.1860. Ashlar, flanking walls rock-faced stone. Central access and side pedestrian arches flanked by tall cruciform piers. Banded rustication with rustications forming voussoirs. Plinth, impost band, panelled frieze and cornice. Main piers carry speared horses' heads (crest of Silvertop family), outer piers with moulded finials...."
