Eglingham Hall. Eglingham
-
Description
"An imposing stone house dating from c1728 for Robert Ogle. William Etty and William Wakefield have been proposed as candidates for architect, as yet unidentified. Pevsner remarks that the "rusticated quoins, [rusticated] central arched doorway ... and window architraves with heavy triple keystones betray the influence of Seaton Delaval". Grade II* listed."
