"Statue of Samson slaying Philistine 28.7.50 in garden to west of Seaton Delaval Hall GV II Statue, early C18. Lead on ashlar plinth. Life-size lightly-draped figures. Panelled base with plinth and cornice. Originally sited in north-east corner bastion of ha-ha (q.v.)...."
