    This life-size sculpture by Fenwick Lawson commemorates the long journey of St Cuthbert of Lindisfarne whose remains were removed from Lindisfarne due to the threats from Viking raiding parties. St Cuthbert's remains are interred in Durham Cathedral, the statue is simply called The Journey and is sited not far far from the cathedral in the public area adjacent to the Gala Theatre.
