    Full title reads: "News in a Nutshell". International news stories in brief. Sir Samuel Hoare, Foreign Secretary, leaves for Geneva, location of events unknown. Hoare gives speech explaining he is going to League of Nations with Sir Anthony Eden to try to resolve Abyssinia-Italy conflict. Giant Bonfire at Wanstead, London. Various shots of nurses from Aldersbrook Children's Home building gigantic bonfire for Guy Fawkes' night. They take some of the toddlers and babies along to have a look (some of the babies sit in comically large pram). They nurses climb a ladder to place Guy Fawkes effigy at top of unlit bonfire. Old Flags for New Austrian Army, Vienna, Austria. Military parade on Heldenplatz of new Austrian Army. Prince Stagremberg with government and European Military Attaches, watch old flags and bugles of pre-1917 Austrian Army being presented to Commanders of new army. The Prince then takes the salute as new army, with new tanks and artillery, marches past. With the Prince are Dr. Kurt von Schuschnigg (Chancellor of Austria) and Franz Von Papen in full German Army uniform (German politician). Burning steamer sinks at Liverpool Docks, Merseyside. Various shots of firemen extinguishing blaze on sinking Spanish cargo ship, 'Zabalbide'. Ship caught fire whilst anchored in harbour.
