    "House; said to be chapel of St. Catherine, chantry to Staindrop church, and so may be chapel and priest's house. Medieval with C17 and C18 alterations. Limewashed render with ashlar dressings; concrete-tiled roof with stone gable copings and brick chimneys. Irregular plan: L-plan main block, with front stair wing and extruded porch; left extension and porch; rear right wing. North elevation of 2 storeys, 4 bays, with one-storey, one-bay left extension..."
