Locomotion No.1

    George & Robert Stephenson 0-4-0 "Locomotion No1" (originally named "Active") built by Robert Stephenson & Co. 1825 for the Stockton & Darlington Railway. It was withdrawn in 1841 and then used as a stationary engine. It was preserved in 1857. Pictured at Darlington station.
