    The vision of Sir Galahad by Burlison & Grylls (central light after the paintings by GF Watts) nave south To the glory of God and in memory of Bede Liddell Fenton MA, Major Dorset Regiment who gave his life 15th July 1916 trying to save a fellow officer Bede Fenton was the son of the vicar of St Saviour's. He was born in Jarrow in 1883, educated at Lancing College, and taught at KIng's School in Worcester. He put himself in danger trying to save Lieutenant Coley thinking he had been wounded but who was in fact already dead.
